Hollinger International facilitates strategic planning for schools globally. We tailor the strategic planning process to meet the needs of each school.
Hollinger International recommends that the Board of Trustees or owner(s) of the school create a new strategic plan every three to five years. An effective strategic plan ensures that the school is competitive and establishes priorities for the school. The strategic plan also informs the school’s annual board agenda and the annual operations agenda.
We facilitate a process whereby the board or owner(s) and the school leader, with participation by members of the management team as appropriate, develop the strategic plan. Typically, we recommend that schools also solicit input through focus groups and surveys from parents, teachers, alumni/ae and other stakeholders.
The strategic plan will normally identify the major goals, specific tasks related to the major goals, responsible parties for achieving the goals, start dates, midpoint review dates and completion dates.
